South Korean Investment


Iran has placed orders worth around $2.4 billion with South Korean shipyards for the construction of ships to carry Iran’s oil and petrochemical products, The Wall Street Journal says.

The orders, it added, have been placed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and the oil producer Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).


 Iran’s exports Increase


TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran’s exports totaled $6.427.713 billion over the first two months of Iranian calendar year (March 21 - May 20), $1.562 billion of which have been sent to China, Iran’s Customs Organization tally showed.

China with $1.565.510 billion imports stands as Iran’s first largest market during the period.

Iran, Russia agreement 


TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and Russia signed an agreement for establishing a ‘green customs corridor’, the most important customs

deal between the two countries.

The agreement was signed as Deputy Head of the Federal Customs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Malinin met with Head of Iran’s Customs Organization Masoud Karbasian here in Tehran.

Austria’s banks connected to Iran


A senior Iranian trade official says Austria’s Oberbank and Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) are now connected to Iranian banks.

Tehran Chamber of Commerce Chairman Masoud Khansari said that the two Austrian banks have started opening letters of credit (LCs) for Iranian businesses, facilitating trade transactions between the two countries.
